Websol Energy posts strong FY26 growth on higher solar output

Websol Energy System Limited reported a sharp increase in its audited financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026, supported by higher production and capacity utilisation.
Revenue from operations in Q4FY26 rose 132.1% year-on-year to Rs 401 crore from Rs 173 crore. Profit after tax (PAT) increased 157.9% to Rs 125 crore from Rs 48 crore. The company reported an EBITDA margin of 36.4% for the quarter. On a sequential basis, revenue grew 53.8% from Rs 261 crore in Q3FY26, while PAT rose 91.6%.
For FY26, revenue stood at Rs 1,049 crore, up 82.4% from Rs 575 crore in FY25. PAT increased 95.8% to Rs 303 crore from Rs 155 crore. EBITDA margin for the year was 40.8%, compared to 43.9% in FY25.
Managing Director Sohan Lal Agarwal said performance was driven by the commissioning of a second cell line and focus on utilisation and cost control. He added that one Mono Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell (Mono PERC) line is being upgraded to Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (TOPCon) technology, which will raise total cell capacity to 1.35 GW.
The company said cell capacity utilisation remained above 90%, while module utilisation was 74%. As of March 31, 2026, it reported a net cash surplus, with cash and cash equivalents of Rs 152 crore against total debt of Rs 118 crore. The order book stood at Rs 1,161 crore at the end of FY26.
Websol Energy’s manufacturing facility at the Falta Special Economic Zone in West Bengal has an operational solar cell capacity of 1,200 MW and module capacity of 550 MW.
