Hindustan Power has secured a 100 MW AC solar power project from Punjab State Power Corp. Ltd (PSPCL) to be developed in Punjab, with an estimated installed capacity of 140–150 MWp.

The project was awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding process followed by an e-reverse auction. Hindustan Power will enter into a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with PSPCL, providing long-term revenue visibility. The project is scheduled for commissioning within 24 months from the effective date of the PPA.

The addition strengthens the company’s renewable portfolio and expands its presence in Punjab, aligned with its strategy to scale sustainable generation capacity.

Chairman Ratul Puri stated that the bid aligns with the company’s approach to pricing discipline and execution capability, enabling the addition of quality assets while maintaining long-term value creation. He added that Punjab remains a key market with steady demand for reliable and clean power, and the project will support the state’s energy mix while strengthening the company’s operational footprint. Puri said the focus remains on timely project delivery and consistent operational performance over the asset lifecycle.
