Adani Power Limited has incorporated a wholly owned step-down subsidiary, Coastal-Maha Atomic Energy Limited (CMAEL), to expand its presence in the nuclear energy segment.

According to a regulatory filing dated April 19, 2026, CMAEL was incorporated on April 13, 2026, with the Certificate of Incorporation received on April 18, 2026. The entity has been set up under Adani Atomic Energy Limited (AAEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Power. CMAEL’s stated objective includes generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity from nuclear and atomic energy sources.

The company has an authorised capital of Rs 5 lakh, comprising 50,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each, fully subscribed by AAEL in cash. No regulatory or government approvals were required for the incorporation.

CMAEL is the second nuclear-focused entity established by Adani Power in recent months. AAEL, its parent entity, was incorporated on February 11, 2026, marking the group’s entry into the nuclear segment. The latest incorporation indicates a layered subsidiary structure being developed for potential nuclear energy initiatives.
