Adani Green expands capacity to 19.3 GW; AESL network reaches 27,949 ckm

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) reported a 35% year-on-year increase in operational capacity to 19.3 GW for FY26, while Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) disclosed expansion of its transmission network to 27,949 circuit kilometres in its provisional Q4 FY26 update.

In a stock exchange filing dated April 10, 2026, AGEL informed the BSE and NSE that it added 5.1 GW of greenfield capacity during FY26. The company also operationalised 1,376 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity at its Khavda site in Gujarat, described as one of the world’s largest single-location deployments.

Energy sales increased 34% year-on-year to 37,567 million units, supported by higher capacity. The solar portfolio recorded a capacity utilisation factor (CUF) of 24.0% with 99.2% availability. The wind portfolio reported a CUF of 26.6% with 95.6% availability. The hybrid portfolio achieved a CUF of 35.2% with 98.5% availability.

AGEL also reported a CareEdge ESG 1+ rating with a score of 87.3, a top-six global ranking from Sustainalytics, and a No. 1 position in Energy Intelligence’s Annual Global Top 100 Green Utilities Rankings for 2025.

Separately, AESL stated that its transmission network expanded to 27,949 circuit kilometres (ckm) in FY26 from 26,696 ckm in FY25. Power transformation capacity increased to 123,175 MVA from 90,236 MVA. Average system availability stood at 99.70% for FY26.

In the distribution segment, Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) reported a year-on-year increase in units sold in Q4 FY26, with further details on consumer and revenue mix disclosed in the filing. AESL also reported 24.6 million smart meters under implementation as of March 2026, with a total revenue potential of Rs 29,519 crore.
