Jakson Green Ltd’s consortium partner Ocior Energy has signed a green ammonia supply agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd, committing to supply 85,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) of green ammonia.
The consortium secured the capacity under SECI’s sixth green ammonia auction at a tariff of Rs 50.75 per kg under Mode-2A of the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Scheme, which provides assured offtake. The supplied ammonia will be delivered to Coromandel International Ltd at its Kakinada facility in Andhra Pradesh.
The agreement is valued at around $465 million over its tenure. It follows a letter of award issued by SECI in August 2025, with commercial supply scheduled to commence in 2029.
Bikesh Ogra, Vice Chairman and Global Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jakson Green, stated that the agreement aligns with the company’s strategy to scale green energy infrastructure and supports India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission, which targets expansion of domestic manufacturing, energy security, and clean fuel adoption.
In parallel, Jakson Green is advancing its presence in green hydrogen and related fuels. Through an associate company, it is developing two green hydrogen projects, each with a capacity of 5,000 tonnes per annum, for Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL).
