NLC India Limited has promoted Pankaj Kumar as Executive Director with effect from April 1, 2026. Kumar holds a Master’s in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Jiwaji University, an Advanced HRM certification from IIM Ahmedabad, and a Post Graduate Programme in Digital HR and People Analytics from XLRI Jamshedpur. He has over 28 years of experience across public sector and multinational organisations, with expertise in succession planning, large-scale hiring, and workforce analytics.
Prior to joining NLC India, Kumar spent 13 years leading the Corporate Human Resources (HR) division at LG Electronics India. At NLC India, he has been responsible for enterprise-wide HR functions, including workforce planning, organisational design, talent management, and cultural transformation.
Separately, Executive Director Hemant Kumar retired on superannuation on March 31, 2026.
At the board level, independent directors M.T. Ramesh, Vasant Ashok Patil, and Pradeep Kumar Saraogi ceased to hold office on March 27, 2026, following completion of their one-year terms. All three had been appointed by the Ministry of Coal, the company’s administrative ministry, and also stepped down from their respective board committee roles from the same date.
