NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PTC India Limited on March 31, 2026. The agreement aims to explore the sale of renewable energy through bilateral arrangements and other market-based mechanisms.

Non-binding framework for future transactions

The MoU was signed by Sarit Maheshwari, Chief Executive Officer of NGEL, and Manoj Kumar Jhawar, Chairman and Managing Director of PTC India Limited. The filing does not specify volumes, pricing, or timelines for potential transactions.

As a non-binding arrangement, the MoU sets a framework for cooperation, with any power sale agreements to be negotiated separately. NGEL disclosed the development to the stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
