The Tata Power Company Limited has announced a collaboration with Salesforce, an artificial intelligence customer relationship management (AI CRM) platform provider, to support the digital transformation of its expanding renewable energy portfolio. The initiative focuses on Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), the company’s subsidiary responsible for rooftop solar, electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, and smart home solutions.

As part of the partnership, Tata Power has deployed Salesforce’s Agentforce Sales, Agentforce Service, and Agentforce Marketing platforms across its renewable energy operations. The deployment introduces AI-enabled workflows aimed at improving operational visibility, supporting faster decision-making, and providing integrated omnichannel experiences for customers and partners.

The platform is intended to function as a digital backbone for end-to-end digitization of partner and customer journeys. It integrates functions such as lead management, inventory visibility, process automation, and real-time performance monitoring.

In addition, Tata Power has developed a proprietary deep learning and agentic intelligence layer on top of the Salesforce platform. This capability enables zero-touch quality and safety validation processes, allowing instant on-site verification and automated warranty generation for the company’s Solaroof offerings.

According to the company, its residential rooftop solar segment has recorded more than 200% growth over the past two financial years. The growth has been supported by policy initiatives under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana. Tata Power also reported that its overall solar portfolio revenues increased fivefold between FY2020 and FY2025.

Both companies indicated plans to jointly develop additional AI-based workflows to support omnichannel customer and partner contact centre operations. The objective is to enable faster issue resolution, proactive service delivery, and predictive engagement.

Dr. Praveer Sinha, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) of Tata Power, stated that digital capability plays an important role in enabling scale, speed, and customer confidence as the company expands its green energy portfolio. Arundhati Bhattacharya, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Salesforce South Asia, said the collaboration illustrates the role of technology in supporting the transition toward sustainability.
