WebSol receives 85.5 MW solar module orders worth Rs 172 crore

WebSol Energy System Limited has announced receipt of three purchase orders totalling 85.5 MW for solar modules, valued at about Rs 172 crore. In a business update issued on February 26, 2026, the company stated that recent tariff changes on solar imports by the United States will not affect its current operations.

The orders are under production and are scheduled for delivery by May 2026. The company identified the clients as Bekem Infra Projects, Sri Avantika Contractors, and Kosol Energie.

Alongside the contract announcement, WebSol addressed developments in United States trade policy. The company confirmed it has no existing exports to the United States and said the newly imposed tariffs on solar imports will have no impact on its business activities.

Managing Director (MD) Sohan Lal Agarwal said the orders indicate partner confidence in the company’s capabilities and support its position in the Indian solar market. He added that the company remains focused on timely execution of orders and on contributing to India’s renewable energy targets.

WebSol Energy System Limited manufactures solar photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules in India. The company operates a manufacturing facility in the Falta Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in West Bengal, with annual solar cell manufacturing capacity of 1,200 MW and module capacity of 550 MW. Its integrated production model covers both cell and module manufacturing, supporting supply chain management and compliance with domestic content requirements.
