KPI Green Energy Limited has commissioned 16.16 MWdc of solar power capacity under the government’s PM-KUSUM scheme. The company said this is the highest installed capacity achieved under the scheme within the operational area of Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL).
In a regulatory filing dated February 3, 2026, KPI Green Energy informed the stock exchanges that it has received the commissioning certificates for the projects, which are part of its Independent Power Producer (IPP) business segment. The capacity has been commissioned under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM), a central government programme focused on promoting decentralised solar power for agricultural applications.
The company said it is among the early developers to receive commissioning certification in the DGVCL region and noted that the projects were completed within a relatively short execution period. The commissioned solar capacity is now supplying power for agricultural pumping, enabling farmers to access daytime electricity under the scheme.
KPI Green Energy added that PM-KUSUM is intended to improve energy and water security for farmers, lower reliance on conventional and diesel based power sources, and support sustainable farming practices. The commissioning reflects the company’s execution capabilities in decentralised solar projects aligned with national renewable energy and farmer welfare objectives.
