Premier Energies Limited announced the commissioning of a 400 MW Mono Passivated Emitter and Rear Contact (PERC) solar photovoltaic cell manufacturing facility at its E City plant in Telangana and reported a sharp year on year rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2025. The updates were disclosed through regulatory filings to stock exchanges.
The company said its wholly owned subsidiary, Premier Energies Photovoltaic Private Limited, commissioned the new cell manufacturing line as part of a brownfield expansion at its Maheeshwaram facility. The project involved installing additional equipment while using existing infrastructure and utilities. With this addition, Premier Energies’ total operational solar cell manufacturing capacity has increased to 3.6 GW.
In a separate filing, the company released an investor presentation outlining financial and operational performance for Q3 FY26 and the nine months period. Unaudited consolidated results show Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs 3,916.20 million for Q3 FY26, up 53.44% from Rs 2,552.21 million in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations for the quarter rose 13.02% year on year to Rs 19,364.64 million.
The presentation highlighted industry developments, including a pipeline of 61 GW of solar projects and 20 GW of hybrid projects under development. It also referred to the phased implementation of the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) norms, which will require higher domestic content and efficiency standards for solar projects in the coming years.
Operationally, Premier Energies reported an order book of Rs 64,850 million as of December 31, 2025, with a near equal contribution from domestic and international markets. Ongoing expansion projects include a 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility at Seetharampur, Telangana, targeted for completion by March 2026, and a 7 GW solar cell manufacturing plant at Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh.
The company is also expanding its product portfolio through acquisitions. It completed the acquisition of TRANSCON Transformers and Conductors in December 2025 and expects to conclude the acquisition of Solare, a solar inverter manufacturer, by February 2026.
Premier Energies also stated that its supplied products helped avoid an estimated 59 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions during Q3 FY26.
