Juniper Green Energy has announced the early commissioning of a 72 MWp solar component at its 133 MWp hybrid power project in Solapur, Maharashtra. The project has been developed through its subsidiary, Juniper Green Spark Ten, and the solar portion was completed 10 months ahead of the scheduled commercial operations date.
The 133 MWp hybrid project consists of 108 MWp of solar capacity and 25 MW of wind capacity. The solar segment was commissioned in phases. The first phase of 36 MWp was commissioned on September 25, 2025. This was followed by the commissioning of the remaining 72 MWp on January 10, 2026.
The project has a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd (MSEDCL). The PPA was signed on November 18, 2024. The scheduled commercial operations date for the complete hybrid project, including both solar and wind components, is November 17, 2026.
Ankush Malik, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Juniper Green Energy, said the early commissioning reflects the company’s execution capability and supports India’s clean energy requirements. Following the commissioning of this capacity, Juniper Green Energy’s total operational portfolio has reached 1.66 GWp.
The early completion of the solar component is a key step toward the full commissioning of the hybrid project, which is designed to supply a combination of solar and wind power to the state grid.
