SECI signs SoI with GEAPP ServiceCo and MoU with IPGCL, PPCL

Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has signed a Statement of Intent with GEAPP ServiceCo (India) Private Limited to explore cooperation in areas supporting India’s clean energy transition. Separately, SECI has also entered into a memorandum of understanding with Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited (IPGCL) and Pragati Power Corporation Limited (PPCL) to collaborate in the renewable energy sector and allied areas.
The Statement of Intent was signed on 12 December 2025. It was exchanged between Shri Akash Tripathi, Managing Director, SECI, and Mr Saurabh Kumar, Vice President India, GEAPP ServiceCo (India) Private Limited, in the presence of senior officials of SECI. On behalf of SECI, the document was signed by Shri Prashant Soni, Deputy General Manager Project Monitoring, under the overall guidance of Shri Sivakumar V Vepakomma, Director Power Systems, SECI.
The Statement of Intent outlines cooperation in renewable energy integration and grid strengthening, energy transition planning, utility digitisation, and adoption of emerging clean energy technologies. It also covers capacity building, knowledge sharing, and the development of analytical tools and frameworks for the power sector, aligned with national priorities on energy security, sustainability, and climate action.
Earlier, SECI signed a memorandum of understanding with IPGCL and PPCL on 9 December 2025. The agreement provides a framework for collaboration on identifying and implementing renewable energy projects, including solar power, energy storage, and emerging clean energy technologies. The partnership focuses on project conceptualisation, feasibility studies, technical support, knowledge sharing, and the identification and development of suitable renewable energy projects.
The MoU was signed by Shri Sivakumar V Vepakomma, Director Power Systems, SECI, in the presence of Shri Akash Tripathi, Managing Director, SECI, and senior officials. On behalf of IPGCL and PPCL, the agreement was signed by Shri Amit Ahuja, Director Technical, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations, including Dr Rajendra Kumar Yadav, General Manager Green Energy.
According to SECI, the two agreements reinforce its role as the nodal agency for renewable energy development in India. The collaborations are expected to support portfolio diversification for IPGCL and PPCL and contribute to India’s broader energy transition objectives through combined technical expertise and institutional cooperation.
