Author: PPD Team Date: November 17, 2025

AESL Projects Limited has taken over all responsibilities for the Rajasthan Part I Power Transmission Limited HVDC project through a novation agreement signed on November 14, 2025. The move places the entire set of rights and obligations with the Adani Energy Solutions subsidiary for the link that will move renewable energy from Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

The project covers the design and execution of an HVDC link connected to Bhadla III in Rajasthan and Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh. BHEL and Hitachi Energy India had received the Letter of Intent from RPPTL on February 9, 2025. Both companies later signed Supply and Services Contracts on April 3, 2025.

RPPTL chose to shift its contractual role to APL during project execution. The novation agreement signed on November 14, 2025 was disclosed by BHEL on November 15, 2025 and by Hitachi Energy India on November 16, 2025 under SEBI Listing Regulations.

The companies stated that the scope, timelines, and commercial terms remain the same. APL now holds full responsibility for all past, ongoing, and future duties linked to the project.
