Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 8,260 crore in Uttarakhand on November 9, 2025, marking the state’s 25th foundation day. The projects span key sectors including energy, drinking water, irrigation, education, and urban development.
In the energy sector, the Prime Minister inaugurated an electrical substation in Pithoragarh district and solar power plants installed on government buildings. These projects aim to strengthen Uttarakhand’s electricity infrastructure and expand renewable energy use across public facilities.
Other inaugurated works include the Dehradun water supply project under the AMRUT scheme, which will enhance coverage across 23 zones, and an AstroTurf Hockey Ground at Haldwani Stadium in Nainital.
