NTPC Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Paradip Port Authority to explore green hydrogen-based projects. The agreement was signed on October 27, 2025, during India Maritime Week in Mumbai, in the presence of Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

The partnership will focus on developing green hydrogen-based mobility projects in the Paradip Port area and exploring opportunities for producing and using green hydrogen and its derivatives.

NTPC Green Energy is developing India’s first large-scale green hydrogen hub at Pudimadaka in Andhra Pradesh, along with a seawater-to-green hydrogen plant at Simhadri. It has also deployed hydrogen fuel cell buses in Leh under its green mobility initiative.
