Reliance, Sembcorp, ACME, BluPine win SJVN’s 1.5 GW storage auction

SJVN has awarded 1,500 MW/6,000 MWh of assured peak power capacity from its interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected renewable energy projects with storage. The auction aimed to secure firm renewable power supply during peak hours.
Reliance NU Energies and Sembcorp Green Infra emerged as key winners, securing 750 MW/3,000 MWh and 150 MW/600 MWh, respectively. Both bids were accepted at a tariff of Rs 6.74 per kWh.
ACME Solar Holdings won 450 MW/1,800 MWh, while Solarcraft Power India 16 Private Limited—a special purpose vehicle of BluPine Energy—secured 150 MW/600 MWh. Both projects were awarded at a tariff of Rs 6.75 per kWh. The tender was issued in December 2024.
Separately, BluPine Energy also won 150 MW capacity under SJVN Green Energy Limited’s 1.5 GW (6 GWh) firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) auction. The project, implemented through Solarcraft Power India 16 Private Limited, will deliver assured renewable power during 00:00–08:00 and 17:00–24:00 daily under a 25-year power purchase agreement.
