REC transfers Rajgarh Neemuch Power to GR Infraprojects

REC Limited has announced that its subsidiary, REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), has completed the sale of Rajgarh Neemuch Power Transmission Limited to GR Infraprojects Limited.

GR Infraprojects emerged as the successful bidder through a tariff-based competitive bidding process.

Rajgarh Neemuch Power Transmission Limited was incorporated on June 17, 2025, as a special purpose vehicle for the inter-state transmission project titled “Transmission system for Evacuation of Power from RE Projects in Rajgarh (1500 MW) SEZ in Madhya Pradesh-Phase III and Evacuation of Power from RE Projects in Neemuch (1000 MW) SEZ in Madhya Pradesh-Phase II.”

The integrated project, estimated at Rs 3,472 crore, includes 850 circuit km of 400 kV transmission lines, a new 400/220 kV 2×500 MVA substation at Handiya, and infrastructure upgrades at the Pachora, Rajgarh, and Neemuch pooling stations. The project will be implemented on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer basis, with a 24-month construction period from the date of transfer and 35 years of operations and maintenance.

GR Infraprojects received the Letter of Intent for the project on August 27, 2025.
