Inox Solar commissions 1.2 GW solar module facility in Gujarat

Inox Solar Limited, a subsidiary of Inox Clean Energy Limited, has commissioned a 1.2 GW solar module manufacturing plant at Bavla, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This is the first phase of a planned 3 GW module facility.
The Bavla plant, completed in four months, will manufacture N-type tunnel oxide passivated contact solar modules using M10, G12R, and G12 cells. The modules are bi-facial and designed to support higher capacity utilisation. Work on the second phase of 1.8 GW is underway to meet the 3 GW target.
Inox Solar is also setting up an integrated 4.8 GW solar cell and module facility in Dhenkanal, Odisha. The company said the expansion is intended to strengthen India’s solar manufacturing base.
