MNRE issues clarification on wind turbine model certification update

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued a clarification regarding the amendment to the procedure for inclusion or updating of wind turbine models in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers (RLMM), notified on July 31, 2025.
According to the circular dated September 4, 2025, Type Certificates must be updated or revised in accordance with Clause 4(h) of the July 31 amendment within three months from its issuance.
The ministry stated that a clarification from the Type Certification Body, specifying the location and address details of components listed under Clause 4(h), will also be considered valid for updating within the stipulated timeframe.
