Suryam International wins SECI auction to supply green ammonia

Suryam International Private Limited has won Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) green ammonia auction held under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition Programme (Mode-2A–Tranche-I).

The company will supply 4,000 tonnes per annum of green ammonia to Madras Fertilisers in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, for a period of ten years. The allocation was made at a tariff of Rs 50 per kg.

This auction concludes a series of 13 green ammonia tenders issued under the programme, which together aggregated a total procurement capacity of 724,000 tonnes per year.

In July, Suryam International also secured capacity in Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited’s (BSPGCL) tender for standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS). The company won 10 MW/40 MWh in the 125 MW/500 MWh auction.
