Oriana Power secures SECI award for 60,000 TPA green ammonia

Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) awarded Oriana Power a contract to supply 60,000 tonnes a year (TPA) of green ammonia under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition programme (Mode-2A-Tranche-I). The quoted tariff was Rs 52.25 per kg. The product will go to Madhya Bharat Agro Products in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, for a 10-year term.
Oriana Power is required to establish production facilities and obtain all approvals and permits, including those for land. The company is responsible for production, storage and delivery to the delivery point.
This award is the third in a planned sequence of 13 green ammonia auctions under a tender that aggregates 724,000 tonnes a year.
Earlier this month, NTPC Renewable Energy won a SECI auction to supply 70,000 TPA of green ammonia to Krishana Phoschem in Meghnagar, Madhya Pradesh, for ten years. In July 2025, ACME Cleantech Solutions won a contract to supply 75,000 TPA to 12 fertilizer plants under the same tranche.
