Gorakhpur Haryana Anu Vidyut Pariyojana (GHAVP), a project under Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL), has commissioned a 1.7 MWp grid-connected solar photovoltaic plant at its facility in Haryana. This is the second solar project installed at the site.

The ground-mounted solar plant covers 22,000 square metres and uses domestically manufactured mono PERC modules rated at 545W. It was developed at INR 8.07 crore, including a five-year operations and maintenance contract.

The system is projected to generate 2.53 million kWh annually.

GHAVP earlier commissioned a 300 kWp solar plant in 2021 and is planning to add battery storage for emergency and peak-load support.
