Waaree Solar Americas, the US subsidiary of India’s Waaree Energies, has signed a solar module supply agreement worth $176 million with a US-based independent power producer (IPP).
Under the agreement, Waaree will supply 586 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules for four projects. The modules will be produced at Waaree’s facility in Brookshire, Texas, with deliveries scheduled across financial years 2026 and 2027.
The modules will use domestically sourced components to meet the investment tax credit (ITC) rules, which now include domestic content requirements. This helps the projects qualify for key incentives while supporting US manufacturing.
Sunil Rathi, President of Waaree Solar Americas, said the agreement shows the company’s commitment to strengthening the US clean energy supply chain. He said the deal supports a more reliable and resilient supply network at a time of shifting trade and energy policies.
With rising electricity demand in the US, driven by AI data centres and industrial growth, Waaree is positioning itself to offer scalable clean energy solutions backed by a stable global supply chain.
