PGCIL awards rooftop solar contracts worth Rs 87.63 million

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) has awarded contracts for rooftop solar installations across its buildings in the Eastern and Western Regions under the PM Surya Ghar (PMSGY) Scheme.
In the Eastern Region, PGCIL awarded a contract worth Rs 50.82 million to Gourav EnerGen India Pvt Ltd, the lowest (L1) bidder among five participants. Other qualified bidders included Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited and Suncraft Energy Pvt Ltd.
In the Western Region, a consortium of Smart Roof Solar Solutions Pvt Ltd and Gourav EnerGen India Pvt Ltd secured a separate contract valued at Rs 36.81 million. Seven companies had participated in the tender, with other qualified bidders including Suncraft Energy, SunShell Power, and Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited.
These contracts are part of PGCIL’s plan to expand renewable energy adoption by utilising rooftop spaces across its infrastructure, contributing to India’s clean energy targets under the PMSGY scheme.
