The Competition Commission of India has approved Gentari Renewables India’s acquisition of 21 special purpose vehicles (SPVs) and holding companies engaged in solar and wind power generation and sales.
Gentari Renewables India, a subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas), is focused on providing clean energy solutions, including renewable energy, hydrogen, and green mobility.
In December 2024, Gentari signed a power purchase agreement with AM Green Ammonia India to supply 650 MW of round-the-clock renewable energy, supported by 2,400 MW of wind and solar capacity and 350 MW/2,100 MWh energy storage in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
