Innergex inks EPA with BC Hydro for wind project in British Columbia

Innergex Renewable Energy has partnered with West Moberly First Nations and signed a 30-year electricity purchase agreement (EPA) with BC Hydro for the Stewart Creek wind project.Â
The 200 MW community wind project is located 60 km east of Innergex’s Dokie Wind Farm, British Columbia.
West Moberly First Nations holds a 51 per cent stake, while Innergex owns 49 per cent of the project. The wind farm is expected to commence commercial operations in 2030 and will generate around 600 GWh annually. The EPA is a 30-year take-or-pay contract, indexed to a predefined percentage of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for financial stability and protection against inflation.
Innergex is a US-based renewable power producer with a global presence. The company develops, acquires, owns, and operates hydroelectric, wind, solar, and energy storage facilities. Its portfolio includes 89 operational facilities with a total net installed capacity of 3,377 MW, spanning Canada, the US, Chile, and France.
