EVN signs contract for Côn Đảo power connection

Vietnam Electricity (EVN) has signed a VND4.923 trillion contract with PC1 Group and Power Engineering Consulting JSC 4 to connect Côn Đảo to the national grid.
The project involves a 77.7 km 110kV submarine cable from Sóc Trăng to Côn Đảo, along with underground and overhead transmission lines. Construction begins in December 2024, and power supply is expected by Q4 2025.
This project aims to boost infrastructure and support the island’s economic and sustainable development.
