RMC Switchgears to supply 5,000 solar pumps in Maharashtra

RMC Switchgears has received a letter of acceptance (LoA) from a system integrator for the supply, installation, and commissioning of 5,000 solar pumps in Maharashtra. 

The project, valued at Rs 900 million, includes 3HP, 5HP, and 7HP solar pump systems, with completion expected by FY26.

This follows RMC’s decision to invest Rs 1,000 million in establishing a solar module manufacturing plant in Jaipur, Rajasthan, aimed at reducing reliance on external suppliers and meeting growing demand for large-scale solar projects.

Maharashtra’s government has set a target of deploying 1.5 million solar pumps with an allocation of Rs 10,000 million to the agricultural sector. With over 100,000 solar pumps already installed, the state’s initiative shows significant growth potential.
