Teems India Towerlines Private Limited has won two contracts for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of unfinished transmission line works under the Jharkhand Power System Improvement Project.
Jharkhand Urja Sancharan Nigam Limited (JUSNL) invited bids for the project in July 2024.
The awarded contracts include:
- Rs 378.79 million for Package V, comprising 132 kV DC transmission lines from Naudiha to Chhatarpur and Nagaruntari to Garhwa.
- Rs 905.78 million for transmission lines connecting Surda to Baharagora (43.05 km), Baharagora to Dhalbhumgarh LILO-1 and LILO-2 at Chakuliya GSS (42.764 km combined), Surda to Jadugoda (21 km), and Ramchandrapur to Jadugoda LILO-1 at Sundarnagar (0.176 km).
The project, funded by the World Bank, is part of the Government of India’s “Power for All” initiative launched in 2014. It aims to improve technical efficiency, enhance commercial performance, and provide reliable power supply through advanced technologies such as automated substations and network planning tools.
