Lhyfe has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KEYOU to promote hydrogen mobility in Germany and Europe.
Lhyfe is constructing a green hydrogen production plant in Schwäbisch Gmünd, near Stuttgart, scheduled to be operational by year-end.
The plant will produce up to 4 tonnes of green hydrogen daily, powered by a 10 MW renewable energy capacity secured through a 15-year corporate PPA with EDP Renewables.
KEYOU plans to deploy up to 100 hydrogen-powered vehicles between 2026 and 2030, beginning in the Schwäbisch-Gmünd area and expanding to other regions in Germany. The project aims for an annual ramp-up of 20 trucks, requiring approximately 1,000 tonnes of hydrogen per year to support the fleet.
Earlier, Lhyfe entered a five-year agreement with H2 MOBILITY Deutschland to supply green hydrogen for transport, initially supporting four fueling stations in Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate, with the first stations in Ludwigshafen and Frankenthal.
