OPRI secures €100m bond for 740 MW solar projects in Italy

Ortus Power Resources Italy (OPRI), a joint venture between Ortus Climate Mitigation and Omnes Capital’s Capenergie 4 fund, has secured up to €100 million in bond issuance from I Squared Credit for the construction of approximately 740 MW of solar assets across Italy.

Akereos acted as the sole book-runner and debt advisor for the financial arrangement. OPRI CEO Guido Cuzzolin highlighted that the proceeds from the bond will enable the company to power up to 400,000 homes in Italy, attributing the achievement to the dedication of Ortus’ Italian team.

In a related development, GE Vernova’s financial services division and Lizard Renewables recently formed a joint venture, Alva Power, to co-develop renewable energy projects in Italy, focusing on wind energy, battery storage, and solar PV systems.
