100 per cent renewable energy generation in Andaman-Nicobar and Lakshadweep: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, chaired the 7th meeting of the Island Development Agency (IDA) in New Delhi.
The meeting focused on the progress of development initiatives in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
Shri Shah emphasized the importance of solar and wind energy projects in the islands, aiming for 100% renewable energy generation.
He directed the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) to implement the ‘PM Surya Ghar’ scheme, which aims to install solar panels in all households across the islands.
