Zelestra signs 25-year deal to supply electricity from 450 MW solar project in Rajasthan to NTPC

Spanish renewable energy company Zelestra has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with state-owned NTPC to supply electricity from its upcoming 450 MW solar project in Rajasthan. The project is expected to generate approximately 801 GWh annually. Over the course of the agreement, the project is projected to reduce carbon emissions by 13,555,774 metric tons.

This solar project is part of Zelestra India’s broader strategy to build a diverse portfolio of over 6 GW in the next three years. 

Zelestra employs a variety of generation and energy storage technologies, including solar, wind, batteries, and green hydrogen, to advance the energy transition. With a global portfolio of 20 GW of carbon-free projects across 13 countries, Zelestra focuses on developing, constructing, and operating large-scale renewable energy projects. The company is supported by EQT, a leading fund manager with $232 billion in assets.
