The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has released a tender to solarise 10,000 agricultural pumps under component C-1 of the PM-KUSUM scheme. The scope of work includes the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of distributed grid-connected solar photovoltaic systems, along with maintenance for five years. The deadline for bid submissions is September 23, 2024.
As per the tender guidelines, bidders are required to submit a tender fee of Rs 11,800 and an earnest money deposit equivalent to 2 per cent of the estimated project cost of Rs 4.07 billion, either as a bank guarantee or demand draft. Additionally, bidders must have had a positive net worth in the previous financial year.
In July 2024, UPNEDA announced the winners of its 500 MW rooftop solar auction and also issued bids for 7 MW rooftop solar systems.
