India’s renewable energy sector continues to expand with new agreements in wind and solar power. Datta Power Infra, Solarium Green Energy Limited, and Jubilant Infrastructure Limited have each secured deals to support clean energy deployment across the country.
Datta Power Infra has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with state-owned SJVN to develop a 70 MW wind energy project. This initiative is part of SJVN’s WIND-1 program, which aims to establish 600 MW of inter-state transmission system-connected wind power projects across India. Datta Power Infra operates across multiple states, providing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for renewable energy projects.
In the solar segment, Solarium Green Energy Limited has signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with Citizen Solar Private Limited and Navitas Solar Private Limited for the supply of 78.40 MW of solar panels. Citizen Solar will deliver 53.70 MW between March 2025 and September 2025, while Navitas Solar will provide 24.70 MW by December 2025. The agreements will ensure the timely availability of solar panels for upcoming projects. Citizen Solar will supply mono-passivated emitter and rear contact solar panels with capacities ranging from 545-watt peak to 550-watt peak.
Jubilant Infrastructure Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Jubilant Ingrevia Limited, has also signed a PPA with O2 Power to integrate renewable energy into its special economic zone (SEZ) manufacturing facility in Bharuch, Gujarat. Similar agreements have already been signed for its Savli, Gujarat, and Gajraula, Uttar Pradesh facilities, with renewable energy supply set to begin in April 2025. Once operational, 50 per cent of the Bharuch facility’s energy needs will be met through renewable sources.
