    Torrent Power acquires TU47 to expand thermal portfolio

    Torrent Power Limited (TPL) has acquired 100 % equity shares of Torrent Urja 47 Private Limited (TU47) for a cash consideration of Rs 5,00,000. The transaction was completed on March 27, 2026. TPL stated that the acquisition supports its plan to evaluate and pursue opportunities in thermal power generation.
