State-owned THDC India Ltd (THDCIL) has signed an agreement with the Rajasthan government to develop two 800 MW pumped storage projects (PSPs) in Bundi and Tonk, with a total capacity of 1,600 MW. THDC begins draft tube installation at 444 MW Vishnugad Pipalkoti HEP

THDC India Limited has commenced the installation of the draft tube in Unit 1 of the 444 MW Vishnugad Pipalkoti hydroelectric project (HEP) on the Alaknanda River in Uttarakhand. The draft tube plays a key role in directing water that has passed through the turbine back into the river, maintaining pressure and enabling energy recovery, which is crucial for optimizing the efficiency of power generation.
