Tata Power’s subsidiary begins solar cell production in Tamil Nadu

TP Solar, a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL), has commenced commercial production at its 2 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, marking it as the largest single-location solar cell and module plant in India.   The plant currently has a 2 GW production capacity, which will expand by another 2 GW in the coming weeks.
