Websol to supply 100 MW MONO PERC solar cells to Luminous Power

Websol Energy Systems Private Limited has signed a purchase agreement with Luminous Power Technologies Private Limited for the supply of 100 MW of MONO PERC solar cells. MNRE updates DCR norms for solar cells

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued updated domestic content requirement (DCR) norms for solar cells. According to the new guidelines, only solar cells based on crystalline-silicon technology and manufactured in India using undiffused silicon wafers (black wafers) will qualify as domestically produced. Gautam Solar sets up new solar module facility in Haryana

Gautam Solar has launched a new solar module manufacturing facility in Bhiwani, Haryana, achieving full-scale operations within a year.  Spanning 60 acres, the fully automated plant has already surpassed a 2 GW production capacity, with plans for further expansion.  The facility is currently installing two high-speed production lines sourced from Tier-1 suppliers, set to increase capacity to 3.2 GWp by March 2025. Premier Energies wins Rs 1.46 billion solar contracts

Premier Energies Limited’s subsidiaries, Premier Energies Global Environment Private Limited, Premier Energies International Private Limited, and Premier Energies Photovoltaic Private Limited, secured contracts worth Rs 1.46 billion for solar module and cell supply in India on January 14, 2025. The companies won Rs 10.41 billion for solar modules and Rs 4.19 billion for solar cells. Module supplies are expected to begin in May 2025.

Premier Energies subsidiaries secure Rs 10.87 billion solar contracts

Premier Energies Global Environment Private Limited, Premier Energies International Private Limited, and Premier Energies Photovoltaic Private Limited, subsidiaries of Premier Energies Limited, have secured contracts worth Rs 10.87 billion for the supply of solar modules and cells in India as of November 25, 2024. The contracts include Rs 9.64 billion for solar modules and Rs 1.23 billion for solar cells.  Deliveries are expected to commence in January 2025.

Premier Energies’ subsidiaries receive orders worth Rs 5.6 bn

Premier Energies International and Premier Energies Photovoltaic, subsidiaries of Premier Energies, have received and accepted multiple orders totalling Rs 5.6 billion.  Two large independent power producers (IPPs) and others have awarded the contracts. These orders comprise Rs 5.13 billion for solar modules and Rs 470 million for solar cells.  The supply of these modules will commence in December 2024 and is expected to conclude by May 2025.

ARCO/Murray to build Boviet Solar’s manufacturing hub in North Carolina
