NVVN invites proposals for 7.2 MW rooftop solar project for Assam Rifles

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has released a tender for the installation of 7.2 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems across 26 Assam Rifles buildings in Nagaland, Manipur, and Assam.  The bid submission deadline is December 2, 2024.  The project scope covers design, engineering, supply, civil construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and the inclusion of a solar module cleaning system, remote monitoring, and ten years of operation and maintenance.

RRECL invites bids for 282 MW rooftop solar projects

Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL) has issued a tender for the development of 282 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) projects on government buildings across Rajasthan.  The bid submission deadline is November 26, 2024.  The project scope covers design, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and 25 years of operation and maintenance (O&M) from the commissioning date.

Surana Solar acquires Surana Technologies

Surana Solar Limited has acquired a 100% stake in Surana Technologies Private Limited, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary.  Surana Technologies, with an authorized, subscribed, and paid-up capital of Rs 100,000, operates in the solar energy sector, specializing in trading, distribution, supply, generation, transmission, and manufacturing of solar products.  This acquisition aligns with Surana Solar’s strategy to enhance its execution capacity for solar projects.

Insolation Energy secures Rs 714 million order for solar PV modules

Insolation Energy Ltd., via its wholly-owned subsidiary Insolation Green Energy Private Limited, has received a Rs 714 million purchase order from ACME Cleantech Solutions Private Limited.  The order is for the supply of solar PV modules. Recently, Insolation Energy won a contract valued at Rs 5 billion from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL) to install 77 MW of rooftop solar power systems across Rajasthan.

Power Grid acquires Bikaner A and B Transmission Projects for Rajasthan REZ

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) has acquired Bikaner A Power Transmission Ltd (BATPL) and Bikaner B Power Transmission Limited, both established to support the “Transmission system for evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ Phase IV (Part-3: 6 GW) [Bikaner complex]” on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis.  The acquisition from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), the bid process coordinator, was completed on November 11, 2024.

Ofgem urges faster grid connections for renewables in UK

MNRE launches Rs 2 billion programme to boost green hydrogen innovation
