Solar power overtakes coal in EU electricity mix in 2024

Uzbekistan’s NEGU targets 76.1 billion TWh electricity transmission in 2025

Uzbekistan’s JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan (NEGU) aims to transmit 76.1 billion TWh of electricity through its networks in 2025, an increase from 74 TWh in 2024. In 2024, NEGU made significant improvements, including adding 543 km of high-voltage transmission lines, 1,627 MVA capacity substations, and repairing 309 transformers and over 6,400 km of transmission lines. Bondada Group to establish 100 MW hybrid RE plant in Assam

Dr. Bondada Raghavendra Rao, Chairman and Managing Director of Bondada Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Assam’s Minister of Education, Welfare of Plain Tribe and Backward Classes, Sri Ranoj Pegu, at the Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit 2025 in Hyderabad.  The agreement is for setting up a 100 MW hybrid renewable energy plant, combining solar and wind power, under the UNNATI Scheme. Vestas secures turbines order for Ukraine’s largest wind energy project

Vestas has secured an order to supply turbines for the second phase of the Tyligulska wind energy project in Ukraine, the country’s largest renewable energy project.  Following the successful commissioning of the first phase in spring 2023, Vestas will deliver 64 turbines, contributing 384MW to the project’s total capacity of 498MW across both phases.
