Uttar Pradesh leads RDSS project funding among states

An analysis based on a Lok Sabha reply has revealed that Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu are the top three states with the highest project cost sanctioned under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).  Uttar Pradesh leads with Rs 405.68 billion worth of projects sanctioned, followed by Maharashtra with Rs 324.24 billion and Tamil Nadu with Rs 288.03 billion. Tata Power reduces AT&C losses in Odisha distribution business in H1 FY25

Tata Power reported reduced Aggregate Technical & Commercial (AT&C) losses in its Odisha power distribution business during the first half of FY25.  The investor presentation indicated improvements in two of the four discoms, TPCODL and TPSODL, while AT&C losses in TPWODL remained constant and slightly increased in TPNODL.  Overall, AT&C losses across the Odisha discoms, weighted by electricity purchase volume, decreased to 22.6% in H1 FY25 from 23.9% in H1 FY24. Eaton’s newly expanded 120,000 sqft electrical manufacturing facility in Puducherry was inaugurated on October 11, 2024, by Chairman and CEO Craig Arnold.
