Planning application submitted for 2GW Caledonia offshore wind farm in Scotland

Ocean Winds submits planning application for 2 GW offshore wind farm

Ocean Winds (OW) has submitted its first planning consent application for onshore works to Aberdeenshire Council for the 2 GW Caledonia offshore wind project in Scotland.  This follows the completion of the project’s environmental impact assessment (EIA), which includes detailed studies of both onshore and offshore infrastructure. Ocean Winds and Brazilian university partner to boost offshore wind capacity

Ocean Winds (OW) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) to advance offshore wind capabilities in Brazil.  The partnership will leverage OW’s global expertise in offshore wind, with 18.5 GW of total capacity, including 2 GW under construction and 1.5 GW operational, to enhance Brazil’s offshore wind sector. Massachusetts approves SouthCoast Wind I shore transmission facilities

The SouthCoast Wind 1 offshore wind farm, developed by Ocean Winds, has secured critical approvals from Massachusetts for its onshore transmission facilities at Brayton Point in Somerset.
