Jakson Green achieves milestone for methanol production for NTPC

Jakson Green, in collaboration with NTPC, has synthesized methanol from carbon dioxide captured at NTPC’s Vindhyachal Thermal Power Plant in Madhya Pradesh.  The project, led by NTPC’s R&D unit, NETRA, captures CO2 directly from flue gas emissions and converts it into methanol, a clean fuel for power generation and transportation. BHEL secures contract for Telangana Stage-II thermal power plant

NTPC achieves world-first CO2-to-methanol synthesis at Vindhyachal plant

ACME Solar and Hexa Climate Solutions win bids for NTPC’s FDRE projects

NTPC and RVUNL form joint venture for Chhabra thermal power plant

NTPC Limited has signed a joint venture agreement (JVA) with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL) to jointly own and operate the Chhabra thermal power plant.  The 2,320 MW plant, currently managed by RVUNL, comprises four 250 MW units (Stage 1) and two 660 MW units (Stage 2). NTPC’s NETRA develops indigenous catalyst for CO2 to methanol conversion

NTPC‘s R&D division, NETRA, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Petroleum (IIP) Dehradun, has developed an indigenous catalyst for converting CO2 into methanol.  This catalyst, crucial for chemical synthesis, facilitates CO2 hydrogenation and is currently being tested in a 10 kg/day methanol pilot plant.
