New York to build 1 GW advanced nuclear plant

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has instructed the New York Power Authority (NYPA) to develop and construct a 1 gigawatt (GW) advanced nuclear power plant in Upstate New York.  The project aims to meet rising electricity demand driven by industrial growth, building electrification, and electric vehicles, while replacing retiring fossil fuel capacity with zero-emission, baseload power. RIC Energy and Rosemawr partner to deploy 450 MW solar and storage in New York
