MNRE expands Green Energy Corridor and promotes open access

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is implementing the Green Energy Corridor (GEC) scheme across ten states to enhance renewable energy (RE) evacuation infrastructure.  These states include Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Uttar Pradesh. India’s renewable energy capacity surges to 213.70 GW

India’s total non-fossil fuel installed capacity reached 213.70 GW as of November 2024, a 14.2% increase from the previous year. Including pipeline projects, the total non-fossil fuel capacity surged to 472.90 GW, up 28.5% year-on-year.
