MNRE proposes RLMM rule changes to promote local sourcing

MNRE issues revised draft guidelines for prototype wind turbines

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has released revised draft guidelines for the installation and certification of prototype wind turbines in India. The new framework allows manufacturers up to three years to complete type testing and secure certification from internationally accredited agencies. MNRE reports record 29.52 GW renewable capacity addition in FY 2024–25

MNRE updates DCR norms for solar cells

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued updated domestic content requirement (DCR) norms for solar cells. According to the new guidelines, only solar cells based on crystalline-silicon technology and manufactured in India using undiffused silicon wafers (black wafers) will qualify as domestically produced. MNRE updates ALMM, adds 1,541 MW solar capacity

MNRE includes solar PV cells in ALMM framework
