NTPC Green Energy and MAHAGENCO form JV for renewable energy parks

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, and Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO) have established a joint venture company, MAHAGENCO NTPC Green Energy Private Limited (MNGEPL).  The JV was incorporated on November 25, 2024. MNGEPL is a 50:50 partnership focused on developing, operating, and maintaining renewable energy parks in Maharashtra under the Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Parks (UMREPP) program.

MAHAGENCO-NTPC consortium top bidder for Sinnar Thermal Power plant

A consortium of Maharashtra’s state-owned MAHAGENCO and NTPC has emerged as the top bidder to acquire the 1,350 MW Sinnar Thermal Power plant near Nashik, with a bid of Rs 38 billion, surpassing Adani Power in the initial bidding round.  The consortium could potentially leverage its existing 2,190 MW Koradi power plant near Nagpur to supply coal and operate the Sinnar facility. Saatvik Green wins 200 MW solar module contract from MAHAGENCO

Saatvik Green Energy has secured a contract with Maharashtra State Power Generation Co. Ltd (MAHAGENCO) to supply 200 MW of n-type TOPCon 580 Wp modules to various locations across Maharashtra. The total value of the order is estimated at INR 30.2 billion.
