Longroad Energy signs PPA with Meta for 300 MWac 1000 Mile solar project

Longroad Energy has signed a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Meta for the entire output of its 300 MWac 1000 Mile solar project in Yoakum County, Texas.  The energy produced will be supplied to the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) grid and support Meta’s data center operations. The 1000 Mile solar project, Longroad’s first in the SPP region, is expected to commence commercial operations in 2026.

Longroad Energy closes financing for 111MW Sun Pond solar project

US-based renewable energy developer Longroad Energy has reached the financial close for the Sun Pond project, a 111MWdc solar and 85MWac/340MWh storage initiative located in Maricopa County, Arizona.  The project, part of the Longroad Sun Streams complex, has begun construction, with commercial operations expected by mid-2026.
